Responsibilities
Technical Lead (SG Americas Operational Services, LLC, Chicago, IL)
Serve as the SME for the critical, high-volume trade clearing application "ALLCLEAR," requiring expertlevel troubleshooting and rapid response to technical production issues. Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable technical solutions within Microsoft Azure, utilizing a range of technologies, including Java/Python, Spark, Hive, Avro, Parquet, Kubernetes, Java Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Airflow, and PostgreSQL. Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on Azure, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements for listed derivatives clearing. Implement and manage the ELK stack for log aggregation, analysis, and visualization, ensuring comprehensive monitoring of system performance and security. Develop and maintain data pipelines using workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow for scheduling and maintaining complex data pipelines. Design and develop big data solutions, utilizing Apache Parquet for improved query performance and analytics. Spearhead the migration of diverse legacy static data management applications to a modern, centralized, Azure-based PRIMEHUB application. Manage the operational aspects of options and futures trading, including the processing of exercise and assignment instructions. Provide technical and functional support for the Trade Reconciliation applications BROKRECS and NEWCLEAR LITE. Provide application support for Azure-hosted Trade Breaks Management and Position Transfer Management tools. Ensure compliance with relevant clearing regulations and industry standards (FINRA, CFTC, EMIR) related to data security and operational resilience. Coordinate Disaster Recovery tests with CCPs, client firms, and internal infrastructure teams to implement BCP plans. Engage the Operations team and application users to gather feedback and understand challenges faced while using new applications - based on feedback, design intuitive GUI improvements tailored to user needs. Be responsible for coordinating the integration, testing, and CI/CD deployment process for releases across the enterprise applications, and for post-production checks. Identify manual, repetitive tasks and build automated solutions that result in increased productivity and error reduction, while aligning solutions with business goals and priorities. Partial telecommuting permitted; on-site at 425 S. Financial Place, Chicago, IL when not telecommuting. Salary: $160,555- 250,000 per year.
Profile required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or its U.S. equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as an Application Support Analyst, or any occupation/job title/position supporting Post Trade clearing processes across Listed Derivatives, Equities, Fixed Income and Cleared OTC products. Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience programming in Python or Java for data analysis, data manipulation and automating manual tasks using libraries including Pandas, NumPy, or PySpark; 5 years of professional experience using ELK stack for log aggregation and analysis, performance monitoring and parsing complex log formats; 5 years of professional experience working with Sensitivity: Confidential distributed systems and large-volume data processing using tools including Spark, Kafka, Event Hubs, Azure Synapse, and Azure Cosmos DB; 5 years of processional experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers for both MySQL and PostgreSQL database systems; 5 years of professional experience utilizing back-office systems (including GMI, Shadow and Murex); 5 years of professional experience working with clearing systems, market technology, and post-trade processes for listed and OTC derivatives; 5 years of professional experience utilizing trading platforms (including BrokerTec or Charles River IMS) at a trading firm, CCP, or a FinTech company; 3 years of professional experience utilizing cloud platform and its services including AKS, Azure Workloads, Azure Monitor, Virtual Machines and Networks, Azure Key Vault, PostgreSQL, and Azure Active Directory; and 2 years of professional experience optimizing Apache Parquet usage with Airflow DAGs including partitioning, compression, schema design and workflow orchestration for data pipelines.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
