Job description:



  • Lead the architecture, design, and technical implementation of large‑scale Big Data platforms and data‑driven products.
  • Own and be accountable for all technical deliverables, ensuring high performance, scalability, reliability, and security of data solutions.
  • Drive automation, optimization, and innovation across data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics pipelines.
  • Mentor, coach, and guide Big Data engineers, fostering strong engineering practices and continuous learning.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, data engineering best practices, and architectural guidelines across the entire Big Data technology stack.
  • Actively contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and architecture reviews to improve team efficiency, quality, and system robustness.
  • Ensure Big Data solutions are delivered in alignment with client expectations, business requirements, SLAs, and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, data scientists, analytics teams, and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data architectures.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, encouraging experimentation with new Big Data technologies, cloud services, and emerging data engineering patterns.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and lead efforts to optimize data pipelines, processing frameworks, and storage layers.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards across all Big Data solutions.

Profile required



  • Proven experience working with Agile delivery methodologies, with the ability to adapt Big Data solutions to diverse project execution models.
  • Demonstrated strong domain expertise and deep technical knowledge in Big Data engineering, data processing frameworks, and distributed systems.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to handle complex data challenges at scale.
  • Highly self‑driven with a proven track record of collaborating effectively across cross‑functional teams including product, analytics, data science, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, enabling clear articulation of technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Hands‑on exposure to multiple Operating Systems (Linux/Unix/Windows) with proven expertise in scripting and automation (e.g., Shell, Python).
  • Ability to think strategically and critically, with demonstrated experience in successfully designing and delivering large‑scale, global Big Data projects.
  • Capable of driving technical decision‑making while balancing performance, scalability, cost, and maintainability.
