Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC) acts as a business solutions center for Société Générale, one of the largest European financial groups. IT Filiere is part of the Centre and comprises four Perimeters: Retail Banking, Security and Infrastructure, Internal Support Applications and Investment Banking,  with a total of more than 800 IT professionals.

Project Description:

You will work on the FBI (Flow Baskets & Instruments) application used for B2C activity on equity products issued by Societe Generale Investment Bank. The application handles more than 250.000 products so application performance is very important. There are 16 components in total ranging from managing Corporate Actions, reporting, regulatory (EMT, EPT, ...) to components that notify other systems of new products or of the life-cycle events than happen on these products.

Specifically, you will be required to:

·       Involved in level 1/2 production (and non-production) environment monitoring, incident resolution, troubleshooting and requests handling

·       Take in charge all special business requests on applications managed until its resolution

·        Act as the main contact for business, development team and infrastructure teams

·        Contribute to crisis special set up in case of major IT incident

·        Build/Set up adequate monitoring tools allowing to assess correct level of performances of the managed applications

·        Continuously improve and automate monitoring and alerting

·        Promote & contribute to team work especially with dev teams (devops mindset)

·        Release and patches deployments in production & UAT

·      Ensure deployment of the product on the different environments (dev, uat, prod…) and contribute to the full automation of the software deployment & testing (e.g. through TeamCity/Jenkins pipeline orchestrator)

·        Infrastructure provisioning in the internal SG Cloud (currently) and in Azure (in the future)

·        Identify and implement infrastructure resiliency improvements

·        Participate, by rotation, in disaster recovery exercises and other weekend operations

·        Handle the application access rights

·        Document incident patterns and solutions/workarounds to solve them

·        Ensure quality of production release before operating it

Profile required

·        At least 5 years of experience with application support

·        Good knowledge of Networking concepts, Systems Architecture, Disaster Recovery

·        Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and/or IIS (Internet Information Services)

·        Good SQL knowledge

·        Experience with automated deployment tools (ideally TeamCity, Jenkins)

·        Good working knowledge of CI/CD and how to best implement CI/CD practices

·        Knowledge of Powershell (and scripting in general)

·        Solid understanding of monitoring and you enjoy diagnosing and fixing issues

·        Curiosity and patience to investigate complex issues

         ·       Good communication skills & ability to summarize key messages

·                   ·        Client-driven approach & service oriented

·                   ·       Consider a plus a previous experience with a major Cloud provider (ideally Microsoft Azure)
