Tool Migration & Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Tool Migration & Automation Engineer to support a strategic transformation program aimed at reducing dependency on legacy Excel/VBA solutions and migrating business-critical tools to sustainable, scalable, and secure technologies.
The candidate will be responsible for inventorying, analyzing, and migrating business-owned Excel/VBA tools to enhanced platforms and technologies. The role will work closely with Front Office, Risk, and IT teams to replace legacy spreadsheets and macros with sustainable solutions leveraging REST APIs, Power BI, Python, modern Excel add-ins, and enterprise applications while ensuring continuity of business processes and data integrity.

SQL and database querying

Experience interacting directly with Front Office or business users.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Department Description

The mission, within GBTO, is to drive and support the transformation of business-owned tools in close collaboration with business and operational teams. Specialized in the modernization of legacy solutions, it requires individuals who can play a key role through their technical expertise and delivery capabilities.

The successful candidate will be part of this team in Asia and will contribute to the migration of Excel/VBA tools towards strategic technologies and platforms, while interacting with regional and global stakeholders across business and IT functions.
