Responsibilities

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist  Senior Trade Sales in Global Transaction Banking in the commercial development of the desk: creation of offers, follow up with clients/prospects via telephone/email, preparation of visits, commercial presentations.

  • Assist Senior Trade Sales in the daily commercial management: liaise with the Middle Office in Brussels and the Back Office in Paris, make pricing simulations based upon the information provided by the Head of Trade Services

  • Assist  Senior Trade Sales on the Risk and Compliance aspects which are linked to the trade activity in the bank: prepare KYC for the onboarding of new Trade clients or new correspondent banks and also take care of regular review of these

  • Assist Senior Trade Sales in preparing credit requests/reviews

  • Preparation and follow up of the reporting of trade activities; analyse the evolution of the trade portfolio

  • Participate at client meetings and events

  • Participate in the permanent supervision activities of the trade services desk

  • Act as back up of Senior Trade Sales

  • The Trade sales associate will report to the Head of GTPS in Belgium

Fixed-term duration: 6 months

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate in a Master Degree

Language skills:

  • Fluent in French & English (written and oral)

  • Other foreign language skills like Dutch would be an asset

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and superior analytical and quantitative skills

  • Ideal past experience in Banking and Trade Services

  • Pro-active team player

  • Time management, organizational and planning skills with proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills for pitching, other languages could be useful for this position.

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders

  • Comfortable and confident to speak / present to clients and also SG senior management
