Responsibilities
Trader (Index Trading) (SG Americas Securities, LLC, New York, NY)
Develop the Delta One franchise by pricing and trading index Total Return Swaps, Futures, options
combination, other Delta One products, and the hedge of them on US, Canadian and LATAM equity and
commodity indices. Manage risk related to Commodity & Equity index trading book, as well as scarce
resources. Optimize Inventory via diverse strategies. Use strong communication skills to make markets
on index swap for the bank's clients across all listed and OTC commodities. Constantly seek ways to
improve and optimize existing trade flows. Participate in the growth of the index trading desk, improving
and developing back-testing capabilities and trading algorithms. Identify opportunities and formulate
trading ideas based on the supply and demand analysis and historical data for the bank's clients. Develop
new trading algorithms and trading signals to optimally execute commodity futures on the listed markets.
Participation on the client franchise development in cooperation with Sales team by sending them daily
runs, trading axis and new ideas. Participation on the Prime Services development. Improve the
management position, risks follow-up and Profit & Loss (P&L) explanation, via automation.
Telecommuting permitted one day per week. Must report to New York office when not telecommuting.
Salary: $190,653 - $200,000 per year.
Profile required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics,
Business Management, Financial Engineering, or a related field; plus 3 years of professional experience
Equity Trader, Trader, or any occupation/position/job title involving pricing models for Equity Derivatives
Trading. Must also have the following special skills: 3 years of professional experience working with
Equity Derivatives products (including 1D products), pricing derivatives, and risk management; 3 years of
professional experience working with large global bank systems and processes to facilitate improvements
and synergies; 3 years of professional experience utilizing MS Excel and Python to improve and develop
back testing capabilities and create desk process efficiencies; 3 years of professional experience
partnering with market finance in multiple regions to analyze market risk (including analysis of financial
data and historical pricing, conducting pricing simulations, and performance and risk analysis); and 3
years of professional experience researching index products and index rebalancing strategies.

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, Medical/Dental/Vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
