Trainee – 12 months’ contract - Cross-Asset Solutions Sales

Missions

The candidate will be part of the Global Markets Sales Distribution team in Singapore. His/her role will include, but is not limited to:

• Execution of daily flow activities to support the senior sales

• Help the team to back up the coverage for Institutional clients based in Singapore and abroad, mainly on their EQ, FX and IR investing needs and other investment products

• Push various product campaigns & maintain awareness of SG product strength and offerings

• Help the team to meet operational budget target

• Cooperation with other sales and with sales teams in different regions, as well as other departments and partners (notably Coverage/Relationship Managers, Trading, Engineering, RISQ, MO, BO, Legal, Compliance, etc...)

• Ensure the activity is performed safely and appropriately, in compliance with internal guidelines as mentioned above

• Always keep updated on the regulation proactively to offer perfect internal & external code of conduct

• Able to organize, supervise and guide offshore team. Key focus on excelling in providing clean documentation, timely pricings

• Assist new automation ideas and projects with various teams to continuously improve efficiency

Academic Background And Certifications, Experience

• Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Science, Statistics, Engineering or related topics

• Fresh graduates or recent graduates with less than 1 year experience welcome to apply

Operational Skills

• Strong interest in markets and possesses some technical knowledge in structured products. Detailed derivative knowledge in cross-assets is a plus

• Previous internship experience in executing cross-asset transactions will be well-regarded

• Personal skills: strong sales and communication skills, autonomous and pro-active, energetic, results and client driven, strong ethics such as integrity and transparency, strong conduct risk awareness. Able to work under a stressful environment

• Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) to cover translating documentations and marketing pitch as we have a large Chinese client base

• Knowledge required in Macroeconomics & financial markets, cross-asset structure products, EQ, FX & Rates trading conventions.

• Good command of VBA or other coding language will be desirable
