Responsibilities

  • Assist with the detection, processing and booking of corporate action events for equity and bond products
  • Understand the market specification on corporate action events across APAC
  • Collect elections from trading desks and clients on various voluntary events.
  • Control over the quality and completeness of the recorded data.
  • Analyse and regularize reported discrepancies.
  • Assist traders on their specific requests with effective and innovative solutions.
  • Assist with client reporting and client queries related to events.
  • Streamline different workflows through automation and process review with global CA teams.
  • Contribute to defining specifications and performing UAT for new information systems.
  • Write down/ update procedures linked to sensitive processes and controls.
  • React in a timely manner to incidents and develop action plan for the long term.

Profile required

  • Hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or similar discipline is preferred.
  • Have excellent communication skills – these are required to work with various partners (traders, sales, other middle office, clients, IT teams, Back office and custodian)
  • Team Player:  Facilitate cooperation between colleagues.
  • Accuracy, swiftness, ability to work under pressure in trading environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Department Description

Within Societe Generale Group, you will join the Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) division, which is in charge of the corporate and investment banking, private banking, asset management and securities businesses. The Operations Department is in charge of the processing and control of operations initiated by the GBIS business. Our teams guarantee the quality and reliability of transactions carried out on behalf of clients in all the different financial centres around the world.

Within GBSU, the Corporate Actions team is responsible for processing Corporate Actions and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) for APAC market.
