The Trainee role is a full time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation
    -    Assist in preparing briefing notes, speeches, presentations and social media content for senior leaders’ internal and external engagements
    -    Maintain the communication calendar and ensure timely delivery of planned initiatives 
  • Internal Communications 
    -    Draft and edit internal communications such as event invitations, newsletters, intranet posts, etc.  
    -    Monitor feedback and questions from employees to enhance future communications strategies
  • Event Coordination 
    -    Support the organisation of internal events, including town halls, leadership seminars, visitor forums, etc.
    -    Work with the APAC Event team to ensure seamless execution of events and assist in creating post-event reports, capturing key takeaways and feedback 
  • Research & Reporting 
    -    Conduct research on industry conferences, market trends, competitors and target audiences; provide insights and contribute to strategy development
    -    Track and measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives through analytics
  • Administrative Support
    -    Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks such as scheduling, file management, and preparing reports

Candidates with outstanding performance will be considered for early conversion to permanent roles.

Profile required

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Communications / Finance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Communications experience in the financial services sector and general knowledge of the financial services industry will be an advantage

Department Description:

The Communication department of Societe Generale Asia-Pacific ensures:

  • The definition and implementation of the communication strategy, in line with the company’s identity and objectives in the region, as well as with the directions and organisation given by Societe Generale group’s Communication division
  • The support of the wholesale banking strategy and expertise, principally in Corporate & Investment banking (Global Markets, Global Banking & Advisory, Global Transaction Banking), with Corporate & Social Responsibility and Innovation as key enablers
  • The promotion of Societe Generale’s brand positioning, its purpose, missions and values, to its internal and external stakeholders
