Trainee - Energy Project Finance

Join our team as a Trainee in the Natural Resources & Infrastructure Financing Group. We provide a full range of finance and advisory services for producers, traders, processors, and end-users of energy, metals, and soft commodities as well as the public sector. As a Trainee, you will work in a fast-flowing and busy environment, assisting in the origination and execution of project finance debt advisory and arranging mandates. You will also assist senior members of the team in marketing and other general activities as required. Profile required
Responsibilities
- Financial modelling and analysis of financial projections
- Review of various documentation, including information memorandum and finance documents
- Review of various due diligence reports
- Assisting in preparation of credit applications and other internal approval requests
- Assisting in preparation of presentations for clients
- Research on companies, market and industry trends
- Preparation of marketing materials
- Assisting in preparation of proposals
- Providing general support, as required, within Energy Project Finance, including contribution to effective teamwork within the global team and with other groups in the bank
Competencies
- Degree or equivalent in Finance, engineering or a related discipline
- Good basic knowledge of the energy industry and financial markets essential
- Some work experience within the energy or project finance sectors advantageous
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills essential
- Cashflow modelling experience advantageous
- Good level of written and verbal English essential; fluency in other languages advantageous
- The ability to work autonomously and organize own workload essential
- The ability to collaborate and work well as part of a team within a busy office environment
