Responsibilities

Primary Objectives: 
1.    Provide dedicated support to the Exchange Traded Derivatives (ETD) desk in Tokyo, ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations.
2.    Identify inefficiencies in transaction processes and develop innovative solutions to streamline workflows and save time.
3.    Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with team members to promote a positive and productive work environment.
4.    Demonstrate a commercial mindset focused on increasing revenue by reducing costs and maximizing profits.
5.    Actively contribute to team-building initiatives with support and guidance from management.
6.    Understand and manage operational risks by implementing appropriate procedures to mitigate potential issues.
7.    Acquire and apply advanced knowledge of High Speed Trading (HST) and Direct Market Access (DMA), including order management and skillful order setting.
8.    Maintain comprehensive knowledge of exchange regulations, trading rules, and compliance standards, serving as a gatekeeper to uphold best practices in Japan.

Major Accountabilities/Principal Responsibilities:
Duties
1.    Develop efficient automation tools using VBA, SQL and/or Python to streamline post-trade transaction processes and enhance operational efficiency.
2.    Collaborate with teams to produce comprehensive market color reports, Société Générale research, and trade ideas for client communication
3.    Manage new account setups, onboard new traders, and oversee risk limits for existing clients to ensure compliance and risk control.
4.    Monitor margin cash receipts and withdrawals, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
5.    Maintain and manage trade data to support Profit and Loss (P&L) analysis and reporting.

Profile required

Key Skill Areas, knowledge & behavior Required:
1.    Proficient coding skills in VBA, Python, or similar programming languages to support automation and process improvements.
2.    Strong interest and foundational knowledge in Money Markets, Fixed Income, and Equity Index markets.
3.    Excellent communication skills, demonstrating professionalism, common sense, and punctuality in all interactions.
4.    Open-mindedness toward new ideas and innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.
5.    Proactive engagement in proposing and implementing system enhancements to optimize workflows.
6.    Respectful and supportive attitude toward colleagues, with a commitment to timely escalation of issues to management when necessary.
7.    Dedication to fostering a positive team environment through active team bonding and mentoring of junior members.

Language requirements:
o Japanese (native) and English (business level).
