Responsibilities
Description of the Business Line or Department
Within the Advisory Structuring and Financing department, the Fund Finance Solutions (FFS) team offers a wide range of bespoke financing solutions for key sponsors, hedge fund, private equity funds, insurers, for the whole life cycle of funds. The team has capabilities to act as an agent and financier in large multi-bank financings. Leveraging its strong distribution expertise, the team can make substantial commitments to its clients while maintaining a robust risk management. FFS works closely with other departments (in particular Credit Portfolio Management).
In particular, the team is responsible for the origination of transactions such as capital call financing, asset-backed lending facilities, NAV facilities, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and collateralised loan obligation securitisation transactions.
Furthermore, the team is aligned with the asset light model strategy of the bank, playing an important role for distributing of the assets of the bank, and having developed strong OTD/DTO model with strong balance sheet strategy to ensure the rotation of the assets.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
- Supporting origination and structuring of the FFS perimeter, with a strong focus on capital call facilities for private equity and private debt funds
- Monitoring existing transactions (including annual reviews, amendment and waiver requests, internal rating reviews, etc.)
- Supporting commercial initiatives
- Familiarising with all FFS products, in particular capital call facilities and asset-backed lending facilities
Summary of responsibilities
- Production of various reports on the FFS financing portfolio
- Assisting with the preparation of indicative term sheets and client pitches for FFS products
- Assisting with the production of credit applications
- Modelling transactions using internal tools
- Assisting with KYC process, rating renewals and various other tasks
- Assisting with due diligence streams in relation to new potential transactions
- Working on various transversal topics, including ESG initiatives
- Various ad hoc tasks as required
Profile required
Competencies
- The ideal candidate will hold a degree or equivalent in a Finance-related subject
- Previous experience (internship etc.) in structured finance, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity or similar highly advantageous
- Some background in credit / corporate legal environment advantageous
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret and summarise key messages coherently
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent level of written and spoken English essential
- Fluency in EU languages (French, Spanish etc.) advantageous
