Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the team with regulatory requirements on businesses and Governance: Coordinate amongst different teams for appropriate actions and reporting
  • Manage reporting to the senior management of the entity and to the APAC and Paris office
  • Coordinate or execute various controls including Market Surveillance, e.g. illegal short selling, review on Conflict of Interests, monitoring of Money Laundering, and perform Permanent Supervisions, etc.
  • Actively discuss with the regional Compliance teams on various Compliance issues 

Profile required

  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, law or related discipline (Preferred)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic and complex professional environment with many time-sensitive deliverables
  • Ability to develop and manage business relationships

About Compliance

The role is a Compliance generalist role in SG Securities Korea and reports to SG Securities Korea Compliance Officer.

This role will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to apprehend the various businesses of a top-tier investment bank, the various compliance functions, and will be evolving at the forefront of regulatory developments.

From risk perspective, the position focuses on the following compliance risks: customers protection, integrity of the financial markets, countering bribery and corruption, ethics and good conduct; compliance with international tax regulations, data protection and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance).
