Trainee - Securities back office (Operations, Korea)
Responsibilities
Role Overview
The Trainee will support core securities back‑office operational activities, including account management, trade settlement, exchange margin processes, position reconciliations and reporting.
The role provides structured exposure to key post‑trade processes within the Korean market, with a strong focus on operational accuracy, client servicing, and risk and control awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with trade settlement processing for exchange‑traded and client transactions, ensuring timely and accurate settlement.
- Support fails and settlement reconciliation, including investigation of breaks and escalation to senior team members where required.
- Handle client inquiries related to settlement status, account information, and operational matters in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with exchange margin management for listed derivatives, including monitoring margin requirements, and reporting.
- Perform position reconciliations between internal systems, exchanges, custodians, and clearing agents, and support resolution of discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate operational records and contribute to daily control checks and reporting.
Employment Period
- 6 months (starting from May 2026)
Profile required
Skills & Attributes
- Strong interest in securities markets and post‑trade operations
- Basic understanding of Cash Equity and Listed Derivatives is preferred
- High attention to detail and a willingness to work in a control‑driven environment.
- Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable with Excel and basic data handling
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Korean and English.
