Responsibilities

Mission: The Transfer Agent - Dealing is able to oversee and control the outsourced activity on performing daily Dealing, Cashflow reporting, Batching and Confirmation activity and above to perform corrections activity. The collaborator should have a good understanding of the overall Transfer Agency business.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Dealing activity management:
    • Able to process and perform oversight on the below outsourced activity to SG GSC India
    • Receive and place manual transactions received from investors (subscriptions, redemptions, switches and transfers) in the transfer agency system, according to procedures in place
    • Manage the SWIFT queues and ensure that the repair SWIFT messages are processed within the funds trading cut-off times.
    • Ensure daily deadlines are met in a multi-batch environment
    • Ensure effective understanding of specific process and strict adherence to procedures
    • Ensure all Estimates, Cashflows and Confirmed Deal reporting are sent timely to the clients, fund accounting and other parties according to their deadlines.
    • Handle internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner
    • Chase clients and internal departments when requested in the case of a query management
    • Liaise with other SGSS entities
    • Participate in periodic audits, Compliance and Risk sample checks
  • In addition, the staff :
    • Act as point of reference or expertise for their offshored colleagues
    • Ensure effective compliance and controls in own area
    • Prepare / Update procedures and checklists in cooperation with the team leader where applicable for onshore and verify the offshored process/procedures where applicable
    • Participate to tests and trainings when requested
    • Carry on reporting activities for clients and investors and ensure reports are provided within the agreed deadline
    • Review/Produce monthly KPIs / Permanent Supervision within the agreed deadline
    • Escalate any issue to Team Leader, suggesting resolution where possible
    • May review tasks and reports as a support back up for the Team leader
    • May represent the team during meetings and projects 

Profile required

Operational skills                                                           

  • Intermediate level of French and advanced level English, any other language would be an asset, especially German
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in TA Dealing is strongly recommended, Knowledge/Experience on the TA flows with Fund Accounting and Custody would be an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of Fund Distribution Services (Transfer Agency)
  • Good knowledge of the Dealing activities (UCITS) and Cashflow reporting
  • Good understanding of the intra (REGISTRATION/PAYMENTS/RECONCILIATION) interdependencies within a Transfer Agency Department
  • Result oriented (able to assess a situation and resolve it in a timely manner), on the basis of the technical skills and risk features
  • Good financial skills and eye for accuracy
  • Sound knowledge on the Dealing and Reporting flows of TA process
  • Good working use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Advantage to have knowledge of Multifonds TA system or other TA system
  • Knowledge of SWIFT / SFTP trading (Particularly - MT/MX 502, 509, 515, 535/536) in the context of Transfer Agency business     
  • Ability to work under pressure
