Vice President - Net Asset Value Lending
Responsibilities
SG’s Distribution and Credit Solutions division is seeking a dynamic, talented and motivated finance professional to support the origination and structuring of NAV (Net Asset Value) facilities and other Asset Based Lending. The team specializes in lending with top tier private funds (Buyout, Infrastructure, Credit, Energy and Real Estate), large financial institutions and asset managers
- Support the origination, structuring, execution and syndication of NAV loans and other private asset financing for key clients of SG which includes
- Financial Sponsors, Insurance Companies, Asset Managers, Pension & Endowment Funds and Family Offices
- Develop and negotiate highly tailor-made solutions with a wide range of client needs (Asset Acquisitions, portfolio and liquidity management, bridge financing, capital calls, etc.)
- Responsible for marketing presentations, underlying cashflow projections, financial modelling and collateral analysis (buyout, credit, infrastructure, energy, or real estate assets)
- Prepare credit analysis, assess risk & return metrics to support the credit applications to SG’s Risk department and Senior Management
- Discuss with clients and lawyers in the framework of the execution of a transaction (discussions on financing levels, mitigating risk factors, credit methodologies).
- Lead the on-going management of transactions (amendments, restructurings, renewals)
- Support the syndication of NAV Financing facilities and ongoing management of syndication participants together with internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of certain key models and applications for the NAV Financing Platform.
- Participating in the due diligence process to assess the credit quality of a given transaction or client
Profile required
Must Have:
- BA or BS degree required; concentration in Economics, Finance, Business, Math, Engineering or Computer Science is preferred but not required
- 5+ years in structured financing or Fund Finance (origination/structuring and or syndication), or related role in any of the following area: Leverage Finance, Project Finance, Real Estate or Credit financing, Asset Management, Investment, structured derivatives, funding/liquidity management, credit risk and portfolio
- Structuring and credit analytical skills with the ability to successfully develop solutions while understanding the different legal / tax structures, and their implications as well as the related regulatory, prudential and compliance framework
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with high technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (coding skills is a plus)
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- High attention to detail, highly articulate, organized and result oriented
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and culturally diverse environment
Nice to Have:
- Client focused, capable of connecting with clients and investors to foster the relationship with SG for the origination and or syndication of new financing transactions
- Experience with high profile deal execution in credit and structured financing (in Private assets and NAV financing is a plus)
- In-depth knowledge of one the following strategy: Buyout, Infrastructure, Credit, Real Estate and Energy funds and their investments
- Good understanding of PE fund legal framework, constituent documents, private asset valuations (trading multiples, DCF, etc.) and private fund performance indicators (IRR, DPI, TVPI)
- Firm understanding of all standard deal documents, regulatory requirements/constraints and ability to lead all facets of a transaction from pitch to execution, including dealing with all internal and external constituents including Legal Counsels, treasury department, operations team, syndicate members;
- MBA / master’s degree in economics, Finance, Math, Engineering or Computer Science.
- Series 79, 63, 7 and SIE preferred but not required at outset. Appropriate securities licenses must be obtained post hire if not already held

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
