V.I.E. Analyst – Governance and Model Portfolio Management
Responsibilities
This VIE role is within the Governance and Model Portfolio Management (MPM) team, part of the Model Risk Management (RISQ/MRM) department in the Risk Management Division (RISQ). RISQ’s mission is to support the development of SG Group’s business and returns through the implementation of an efficient and robust risk management framework.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation of the MRM framework.
- Ensure data quality and reconciliation / consistency within Archer/ArcherBI DB and PowerBI Dashboards.
- Assist with the production and automation of the monthly MRM metrics and performance analysis.
- Assist with the identification, implementation, and automation of the MRM metrics for various models.
- Assist with the annual models and metrics recertification campaigns.
- Assist with various day to day tasks for the Governance and MPM teams.
- Contribute to the enhancements of the risk management reporting framework.
- Contribute to the MRM metrics analysis and reporting.
- Assist with the identification, implementation, and automation of the MRM metrics for various models.
- Support with the monthly updates of metrics, dashboards and other BAU activities.
- Dashboards development.

Studies:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Risk Management, Finance, or a related quantitative field
- Probability and Statistics knowledge at a graduated level.
- Rsk management knowledge.
Language skills:
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques. Interpersonal skills to interact with other stakeholders in the model governance process.
- Effective interpersonal and organizational abilities
Technical, operational & soft skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including VBA).
- Knowledge of Power Query
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tool such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Knowledge of AI Tools (Copilot)
Coding skills (SQL, Python, DAX, etc.)
Strong Analytical skills.
Adaptability, autonomy, organization skills and curiosity.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
