V.I.E. Auditor
Responsibilities
Société Générale Group's General Inspection and Audit Department brings together the Audit teams and the General Inspection. The main mission of the Audit is to assess, within the framework of an objective, rigorous and impartial approach, the compliance of operations, the level of risk actually incurred, compliance with procedures and the effectiveness and appropriateness of the permanent control system. More specifically, this department covers the West Africa region. The objective of the position will be to involve the V.I.E. in audit work (missions, follow-up of recommendations, risk assessment) at the level of the Sénégal Hub.
In the context of an audit mission, under the authority and with the assistance of a head of mission, associated with all phases of the mission (from its preparation to the drafting of the report), the V.I.E., as an active member of the team will:
- Identify and assess the risks
- Verify the correct application of procedures, instructions and legal and regulatory provisions
- Assess the security of processing and information systems
- Assess the control of counterparty risks and the quality of credit commitments
- Assess the effectiveness of the permanent monitoring system
- Control the quality of accounting and financial information ; formalise its work
- Define areas for improvement, formulate recommendations and contribute to the monitoring of their implementation
- Contribute to the drafting of the mission report and mission debriefings
In addition to audit engagements, they may also perform other tasks in the same way as local internal auditors.

Please note that for the missions outside the European countries, a VISA is necessary. Please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to launch asap the renewal of your passport.
Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance/Audit/Management Control
- A previous experience in Finance, Internal/External Audit would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Critical thinking and ability to synthetize information
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Dakar is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
