V.I.E. Business Analyst
Responsibilities
DFIN or Finance department has a broad mandate to support Business Units, Service Units and General Management in terms of financial and strategic steering. DFIN strives to provide comprehensive and insightful performance indicators and financial information.
DFIN/COM/LOC under the finance department delivers the financial and regulatory reports in compliance with applicable standards and obligations. Accounting Engineering is a relatively small team but has deep expertise in Accounting schemas, General Ledger mapping and analysis for various business applications for Americas. Team is responsible to set up accounts in local back offices for new business activity, Provide SME assistance to Finance, accounting, operations and cash management teams for matters related to settlement activities within the Banking business. The team also provides SME assistance in UAT testing of changes impacting General Ledger, business analysis and referential update of General Ledger chart of accounts.
As part of your VIE mission, your main responsibilities will be as follows :
- Commando Role –Transversally research and analyze situations involving the Accounting for systems supporting the NY, NJ, Chicago and Montreal Offices
- SME for Core G/L Processes and G/L Feeds from the various back office systems
- Business Analyst for G/L Chart of Accounts Referentials and CAPPS
- Assist in RDJ rejects Analysis and Governance
- Assists and perform GLAAM updates and answer to queries coming from various business lines
- Assist on analysis and correction of Daily G/L posting issues for USD DDA and LSA Transactions
- Assist the Accounting Engineering manager to achieve the team goals

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University in Business/Accounting
- A previous experience in Finance/Accounting with keen interest in Tehnology would be appreciated
Language skills:
Fluent in English
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office, Power BI. Exposure to ALteryx is preferable but not mandatory
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Montreal is to begin June 1st, 2026, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
