Responsibilities

The Macro Economic & Cross Asset Research department consists of nearly 90 economists, strategists, and quantitative analysts globally, who produce many quality studies that need to be promoted to clients.

Within this department, the Business Management Office and Marketing & Commercial team is responsible for organising and managing Macro Economic & Cross Asset Research activities, as well as promoting and selling them.

Business Management

  • Ensuring the proper organisation and performance management of macroeconomic research in compliance with regulations
  • Budget and expense management
  • Activity reporting
  • Monitoring controls

Marketing

  • Promoting macroeconomic research by organising meetings between the Research team and its institutional and corporate investment clients
  • Organising conferences, seminars, analyst visits, and video calls
  • Planning, organising, and following up on events and conferences (both in-person and virtual): preparing invitations, managing RSVPs, and post-event management
  • Managing roadshows and client visits
  • Creating webcasts and online presentations
  • Commercial follow-up of interactions with the Research team’s clients
  • Updating marketing documents including brochures, reports, and newsletters
  • Additional ad hoc tasks as required

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University
  • Previous marketing / communications experience within a corporate setting advantageous
  • Previous project management experience advantageous

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English 

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent command of MS Office
  • Advanced data analysis and Excel skills essential
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and work autonomously
  • Excellent level of written and verbal English essential

Visa TW-GAE
When applying for the visa, you will have to advance visa fees (less than £1 000) that will be reimbursed by Société Générale London after the beginning of the VIE
To be eligible for this visa used for VIE, you will need to provide proof of the following:
- Graduated within the last 2 years
- English level with a certificate (IELTS - min 6/9 or TOEIC - min 605/990)
- Proof of support Funds (min £ 1 270)

The VIE assignment post Brexit
This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. Bear in mind this visa process is new and could take from 6 to 12 weeks and delay the assignment start date.

The VIE will last 12 months. No VIE extension will be possible in the UK due to the visa, but it could be extended for a 2nd year in another country within the Group depending on opportunities.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
