V.I.E. Business Management Officer
Responsibilities
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Finance entity of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex and interest rate hedging. Developing tailor-made products and providing strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes and capital markets) based on our worldwide expertise and in-depth sectorial knowledge, we aim to meet their financing needs. We are a top player across euro debt capital markets and won many international accolades over the years as a worldwide leader in export, project and natural resources & energy finance.
The purpose of the role is to provide business management support to GLBA Front Office. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Analyze regulatory texts and drafting presentations to Front Office
- Draft policies and procedures applicable to the GLBA business lines in Americas
- Participate and monitor required trainings
- Participate to strategic projects
- Participate in Know-Your-Customer (KYC) functions
- Participate in Audits, Internal Compliance and Risk testing
- Participate in the monitoring and creation/adjustment of supervisory controls
- Other adhoc projects
The candidate will be working on a team and will receive exposure to multiple areas of the bank through this transversal role

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University
- Experience in investment banking, business management
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
Operational, technical & soft skills:
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (especially Excel and Powerpoint)
- Curiosity and drive to learn and provide suggestions
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to speak to senior individuals at the bank
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York is to begin November 1st, 2025, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
