V.I.E. COO Analyst (KYC and Compliance)
Responsibilities
The COO team within the Capital Markets division (MARK) at SG Americas is a strategic group that facilitates the business operations of various Trading and Sales desks. The Sales COO team supports specifically the Sales teams within MARK, notably facilitating onboarding of new customers and monitoring of the existing customer population, from a Financial Crimes standpoint. As such, this team coordinates day-to-day operations and projects with key stakeholders of the bank (e.g. Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, etc.).
The main responsibilities for this role include:
- Act as a key support function to MARK Sales teams by coordinating client onboarding and KYC-related activities in close collaboration with Compliance, Risk, Legal and Operations
- Ensure efficient execution of KYC and client due diligence processes, from data collection to follow-up, while maintaining appropriate governance and control standards
- Contribute to the monitoring and review of the existing client population, including participation in periodic review or remediation exercises
- Provide analytical support on onboarding and KYC processes, identifying process gaps, data quality issues or operational inefficiencies, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the implementation and maintenance of controlled processes by documenting workflows, identifying risks and participating in remediation actions when needed
- Prepare and maintain management reporting and key performance indicators to track activity, progress and quality
- Participate in transversal and regional projects related to client onboarding, KYC or compliance frameworks, including process optimization and tool enhancements
Handle ad hoc requests related to KYC, client data or regulatory topics, ensuring responsiveness and coordination with relevant stakeholders

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Management, Finance, Project management, Compliance
A previous experience in Compliance, Project management, Audit would be appreciated
Language skills:
Fluent in English
Technical, operational & soft skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
Proficient/Good command of MS Office
Programming skills such as Python would be a plus
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
