V.I.E. COO - Equity Derivatives
Responsibilities
This role within the MARK/BTO/BMO (Business Management Officer) team is supporting the Equity Derivatives (“EQD”) department which is part of Global Markets ("MARK"). The Business Management Officer (“BMO”) contributes to the strategic steering of EQD in partnership with the head of EQD and ExCo members of EQD. BMO is the entry point to financial and operational subjects for EQD, acting as the key liaison across Front Office, GBTO, RISQ, CPLE, and other verticals in the bank.
As a VIE in this department, you will gain valuable business insights about Equity Derivatives trading and sales, and have the opportunity to learn about various Equity Businesses, ranging from Delta One and volatility principal activities to agency execution and clearing solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Team up with Equity Derivatives business line leaders (Investment Solutions, Financing and Flow) to drive success – from daily operations to long term strategic wins
- Be the driving force behind key initiative in the EQD space, guiding cross-functional projects from idea to execution
- Connect with resource groups (Operations, Tech, Legal, Compliance, Risk) to streamline processes, innovate solutions and tackle challenges in a controlled environment
- Create and track critical metrics for COO office and stakeholders (P&L, Sales Credits, Budgets, client analysis…)
- Design and automate reporting tools and processes ensuring stakeholders stay informed
- Communicate to align all stakeholders, tackling key issues, policies
- Coordination of Executive Committees and Townhalls for EQD business

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance, Business or Engineering
- A previous experience in Finance would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English and French
Operational, technical & soft skills:
- Eager to learn and can adapt to fast-paced work environment
- Proficient communication and presentation skills
- Proficient analytical skills and ability to summarize key messages
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Proficiency in VBA/Macro, Python, or SQL is a plus
- Creative and innovative
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
