V.I.E. Credit Analyst
Responsibilities
- Disciplined and active portfolio management of Global Finance and Advisory ("GLBA") books across APAC region, best-in-class risk management and contributor to operational efficiency
- Enhance stewardship of scarce resources, liquidity and capital
- Close interaction with business line and syndication teams to facilitate client business development.
- Close interaction with partners in particular Credit, Finance, Compliance and Operations.
- In line with the Group CSR Ambitions, fully embed the GLBA ESG strategy in the day-to-day management of the business and monitor ESG commitments & trajectories
Responsibilities:
Credit Risk and Portfolio Management
- Performing detailed annual/semi-annual/quarterly credit reviews
- Prepare and process waivers and amendments to loan documentation
- Analyse historical financial statements
- Report on the construction progress or operating performance of the assets financed
- Run sensitivity analysis on financial forecasts and models
- Managing data and portfolio reporting
- Identify industry trends
- Assess country, market and environmental risk
- Liaise with other departments within the bank (front office, back office, credit risk etc.) as well as external contacts (borrowers, other banks, advisers i.e. legal, technical, valuers and insurance.)
Culture and Conduct, Compliance
- By identifying and managing conduct risks and incidents and systematically processing their root causes, so as to prevent them happening in the future
- By ensuring that deadlines (including for mandatory trainings, controls performance or regulatory recommendations) are met and that mandatory tasks are of high quality
- By adhering to GLBA and compliance policies and procedures, and when interacting with external partners/vendors, customers, and colleagues

Studies & experience:
Graduate with a Master degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting
- A previous experience in energy, metals & mining, infrastructure and real estate sectors/or exposures to credit analysis would be appreciated
Language skills:
Fluent English (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
