Responsibilities

You will Join the credit Risk Management Department , whose primary mission is to design and implement effective strategies and systems in the following areas: credit risk monitoring, debt recovery, oversight of commitments and pre-litigation. These missions align with the General Management's and the BU AFMO's objectives to optimise the recovery of client receivables while adhering to risk management principles and allocated budgets.

The VIE will be in charge of:

• Credit Risk Analysis and Evaluation (Assess credit risks for clients, counterparties and transactions)
• Handle Credit Files submitted by the Corporate Client Division and assign internal ratings
• Provide Opinions on risk proposals based on financial, economic, and sectorial criteria
• Ensure the compliance of Guarantees with previous credit agreements / Alert the corporate division on clients or operations showing signs of risk 
• Provisions Management (Conduct Monthly analysis of social IAS and IFRS 9 Provisions / Monitor compliance of Provisions) 
• Monitor provisioning levels for non performing loans (NPLs) including default rates, monthly provisioning levels (social and IAS/ IFRS9)
• Make necessary adjustments to provisions for risks and charges 
• Oversee quarterly reporting of provisions to RISQ/RBA under the supervision of service managers

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master's degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance, Accounting or Risk Management
  • A previous experience in credit analysis would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English

Operational, technical & soft skills:

  • Strong command of financial and accounting analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of IAS/IFRS standards, particularly in IFRS 9
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office

 

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
