V.I.E. Data Engineer
Responsibilities
GCOO Compliance in US builds and supports applications that help SG to comply with regulatory requirements specified by the regulators.
There are multiple tribes/teams that support each of four major areas mentioned hereafter.
1. Regulatory Governance and Risk Asessment
2. Financial Crime (Sanctions/OFAC and Transaction Monitoring)
3. Broker Dealer Trade Reporting, Trade Surveillance, Employee Trade Reporting and Surveillance
4. Futures Commission Merchant Compliance.
=> The VIE will be focused on the Financial Crime and specifically on Transaction Monitoring (Anti Maney-Laundering - AML).
Responsibilities :
- Follow AGILE process to deliver application solutions for Compliance AML systems
- Provide level three support to Compliance AML applications and systems
- Maintain SG GEN2 Cloud servers, including administrative tasks, capacity management and patch/version management
- Ensure compliance with all group policies related to security management, access management, change management, source code control and vulnerability management

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Engineering School or University with a specialization in Information Technology
- A previous experience in a similar role of 1-2 years would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Strong knowledge and significant experience on BigData ecosystem (HDFS, Spark) and scripting languages with Scala and Python in priority
- Experience with Standard Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from coding, testing and delivery of application solutions in an invest banking environment
- Operating system knowledge including ability to administer them internal and external cloud environments
- Capacity to produce functional and technical specification documents from user business requirements
- Knowledge of Python data science libraries
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in multi-cultural global team
- Team-oriented, client-focused and open to different ideas/viewpoints. Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
