V.I.E. Innovation & Operational Support Analyst

We are looking for a VIE to join the Front Office in a transversal role combining technological innovation, process automation, data analysis and operational support.
This position requires versatility, autonomy and strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to quickly address operational challenges — a “commando”‑style profile, hands‑on, adaptable and focused on delivering practical solutions.

Responsibilities:

Automation & Innovation
• Automate selected processes identified by management.
• Identify and propose automation opportunities within the department (e.g. automation of manual client instructions, automated system feeds).
• Develop tools and scripts (Python, VBA, Power Automate, etc.).
• Contribute to the implementation of AI solutions to improve overall service efficiency.
• Rapidly prototype solutions to address urgent Front Office needs.
• Document and maintain existing tools.

Operational Support
• Provide rapid response to ad hoc and operational requests, in direct support of the Front Office.
Concrete examples:
• Verify payments and manual instructions.
• Prepare, process or monitor operations (trades, deals, flows, etc.).
• Produce extractions, analyses or reconciliations upon management request.
• Contribute to the rapid resolution of operational issues.

Data & Reporting
• Automate, produce and ensure the reliability of Front Office and management reporting.
• Harmonize and structure data.
• Build and maintain dashboards (KPIs, volumes, turnaround times, etc.).
• Ensure data completeness, quality and consistency.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses to support decision making.

Continuous Improvement
• Optimize existing processes and reduce manual tasks.
• Contribute to workflow documentation and redesign.
• Facilitate the adoption of new technologies within the department.

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a Master degree (engineering school, business school or university – IT, data or finance)

• Previous experience in banking, data or software development is a plus

Language skills:

• Fluent in English (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & soft skills:

• Solid foundation in Python and/or SQL, or strong willingness to quickly develop expertise.
• Good understanding of automation and/or RPA concepts.
• Strong interest in applied AI solutions (Copilot, GPT, intelligent data extraction).
• Interest in Front to Back banking environments.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non technical teams.
• “Commando” profile: highly responsive, autonomous, versatile, and able to handle urgent and diverse topics.
• Strong attention to detail, service oriented mindset and analytical thinking.

• Ability to manage multiple topics simultaneously.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Luxembourg is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
