V.I.E. IT Auditor
Responsibilities
The Audit Division (IGAD) represents Societe Generale's independent internal audit function, comprised of over 1,000 professionals covering Societe Generale's global business and services in over 150 countries. The SGUS Audit Department (SGIAA) within IGAD is a group of about 45 professionals with diverse backgrounds and subject matter expertise based in the US, Bangalore, and Brazil, responsible for Societe Generale's businesses in the Americas region. Constituting the third line of defense, IGAD conducts independent audits of operational entities in an objective, thorough and impartial manner in line with professional standards. IGAD assesses the compliance of the Group's operations, the effective level of risk exposure and management, the adequate enforcement of procedures and the effectiveness and relevance of the permanent control set-up.
Responsibilities:
- Organizing and participating in interviews and meetings on IT topics and audit missions with auditees and senior team members; providing concise and comprehensive debriefing presentation
- Participating in audit missions, ie: Support the audit lead to define control (audit) procedures, determine the scope, priorities, identify root causes, develop SMART recommendations, etc.
- Support the execution of of the audit process, ie: fill parts of diagnostic matrix, suggest areas for review, propose audit procedures to be performed; identify and rank risk on a process; propose relevant sampling strategies, etc.
- Preparing high quality workpapers that support the findings and conclusions as well as participate in drafting impactful audit reports
- Participating in department wide transformation projects and actively contributing, communicating and implementing the changes
- Following up on the implementation of recommendations and the action plans
A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.
Please note that for the missions outside the European countries, a VISA is necessary. Please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to launch asap the renewal of your passport.
Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Computer Science/Information Technology
- A previous experience in Technology/Audit/Finance would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Strong Data analytical skills including coding skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
- IT security knowledge such as application security architecture, network security, data security administration, database security would be appreciated
- Understanding of scripting languages such as Python and data analytics would be greatly appreciated
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
