V.I.E. Junior Analyst Real Estate Structured Finance
Responsibilities
This is an entry level opportunity for a VIE to join Societe Generale on a full-time basis for 12 months. You will have the opportunity to learn from a team of experienced practitioners to get a solid understanding in cashflow modelling, structuring, valuation and risk analysis – all core aspects of the role, through ad hoc training and on-the-job experience. You will be involved in all aspects of the deal life cycle from market research and preparation of initial proposals through to client meetings and deal execution with a good level of exposure to senior level management. You will be involved in particular in:
- Risk analysis and understanding of all issues relevant for each real estate transaction (context, aim, constraints related to the assets and/or the legal and tax environment…)
- Cashflow modelling including running scenarios and sensitivity analysis
- Structuring and pricing of financing opportunities
- Participation in the preparation of credit applications
- Loan documentation review
- Review of commercial, financial and legal due diligence
- Risk-monitoring of existing loans
- Market research

Please note that it is mandatory to provide us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.
Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
Graduate with a Master degreefrom Engineering or Business School or University, ideally with a major in Finance, Economics, Property Finance or Accounting
- Other qualifications may be considered subject to demonstrating genuine interest in Finance
Language skills:
You are highly proficient in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of German, French or Polish would be advantageous, but not mandatory
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- You ideally already did previous internships in the finance / banking industry, ideally in real estate / structured finance.You ideally have experience in financial modelling / Excel
- You have strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to think rationally
- You have good time management skills including the capacity to manage multiple tasks and the ability to prioritise tasks as required
- You are a team player with the ability to work independently

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
