Responsibilities

The Inspection and Audit Division (IGAD) is comprised of all of the periodic control teams whose main responsibility is to provide an objective, thorough and impartial evaluation of transaction compliance, the level of risk effectively incurred, procedural compliance, as well as the effectiveness and relevance of the permanent control system in place.
The German Audit team is responsible for the audits of all SG companies in Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. The companies to be checked/ inspected belong to divisions of Global Banking & Investor Solutions and International Retail Banking.
You participate to audit assignments covering the activities within the scope of the IGAD Germany.

In addition you will be involved in local projects and other different support activities. Your main missions will be the following: 
•    Identifying the operational, counterparty risk, market risks and any other type of risk;
•    Verifying of the correct respect of the internal rules and legal requirements and regulations;
•    Assessing the security of the transactions and IT-system;
•    Assessing the quality of the risk portfolio and the counterparty risk management;
•    Assessing the efficiency of the internal control environment;
•    Controling the quality of accounting and financial information;
•    Formalizing the investigations and issues findings and recommendations;
•    Contributing to the preparation of the debriefing to the auditee and the audit report.

Due to the VIE eligibility criteria a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application. 

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Master's degree in Economics/Finance
  • A previous experience in Financial Markets/Structured Products would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluency in English (B2-C1)
  • German is not a must but would be considered as a plus

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
  • Energetic and motivated
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

 

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Germany is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
