Responsibilities

Our architecture team in Luxembourg consists of four architects supported by Société Générale Group architecture community of more than 300+ architects.
We collaborate closely with all business and IT functions across the bank to define target Information System architecture aligned with Group standards and principles. We also support project teams throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure architectural consistency and long-term sustainability.
The team plays a key role in driving the bank's technology transformation agenda, leading initiatives related to Cloud adoption, Open Banking and APIs, Artificial Intelligence, and digital workplace modernization.
As a VIE within our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to strategic transformation programs while developing hands-on experience in enterprise architecture within a leading international banking group.

As a Junior IT architect, you will contribute to strategic architecture initiatives and transformation projects while developing expertise in enterprise architecture within an international banking environment.
Your responsibilities will include: :

  • Supporting the documentation of existing, transition and target-state architectures
  • Tracking architecture decisions and associated action plans
  • Perform architecture design & review within projects
  • Contributing to architecture studies to transform and extend our Information System
  • Perform technology watch on new trends and share within peers worldwide

A key focus of the position will be exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence to enhance architecture practices. You will evaluate, prototype, and help deploy innovative AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity, knowledge management, and decision-making within the architecture team.

You will primarily work within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft Copilot, SharePoint, Power Platform, and related collaboration and AI services.

A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.  

Please note that it is mandatory to provide us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Information Technology

  •  A previous experience in IT or banking sector would be appreciated


Language skills:

  • Fluent in English

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  •  Interest in AI related technologies and knowledge of prompting techniques
  • Knowledge of architecture framework, tools and modeling techniques like TOGAF, Archimate, UML would be appreciated
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
  • Strong listening and analytical skills
  • Proactivity, spearheading of proposals

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Luxembourg is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
