Responsibilities

The KYC Officer’s main task is to ensure that the company’s business is conducted in accordance with national and international laws and regulations, as well as the rules and practices defined by the Societe Generale Group with regards to KYC/AML.

Tasks and responsibilities:

1. Management of KYC cases and issues in compliance with applicable regulations:

· Develop and update KYC client files (client documentation, legal documentation, technical documentation)

· Implement and ensure a smooth administrative process for managing KYC files

· Participate actively in regulatory review campaigns

· Maintain KYC and client databases

· Carry out client screening

· Perform quality controls by sample

· Interact with the various business stakeholders

2. KYC expert role and dissemination of the compliance culture:

· Assist and advise bank employees (sales teams in particular) on KYC/AML issues

· Contribute to the maintenance of the Compliance culture (KYC/AML) and the application of high-quality professional ethics standards (training, communication, etc.)

· Prepare various reports for line managers and functional managers                                                                

3. Continuous improvement in business:

· Contribute to continuous process improvement

A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.

Kindly note that it is also mandatory to provide us with a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master’s degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance/Law/Compliance
  • A previous experience in KYC/Compliance would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English (B2-C1)
  • Fluent in French (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • MS Office Mastery/Proficiency
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of banking professions and in particular securities services
  • Good knowledge of banking products and operations
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory standards in force

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Luxemburg is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
