Responsibilities

DFIN or Finance department has a broad mandate to support Business Units, Service Units and General Management in terms of financial and strategic steering. DFIN strives to provide comprehensive and insightful performance indicators and financial information.

DFIN/COM/LOC under the finance department delivers the financial and regulatory reports in compliance with applicable standards and obligations.  Liquidity Reporting production is responsible for producing, reconciling and distributing Daily/Weekly/Monthly liquidity reports to SG’s ALM and RISK teams as well as senior management and regulators.  This team has three primary functions in that they have a dedicated dash boarding team, a liquidity stress testing team and a 2052a regulatory reporting team.  It includes daily, weekly and monthly liquidity funding reporting and liquidity stress testing reporting and various other funding flow snapshots. System integration includes account conversion for back office systems. In addition, the team interfaces with regulators and business support for reviews, examinations as well as reporting requirement changes  This role is to have a dedicated resource to produce FR2052a (6G) regulatory reports, monthly report issuances in Interest rate banking book as well as other daily liquidity reporting production needs.

As part of your VIE mission, your main responsibilities will be as follows :

  • Production of timely reports. Periodic review of data completeness and accuracy includes 1st and 2nd level checks
  • Timely escalation of exceptions and breaches as well as anomaly in reporting. Procedural documentation
  • Work on data quality issues including system feed issues, manual adjustments when required
  • Participate in projects of system automations and enhancements, and user-acceptance-testing (UAT), system enhancements
  • Work on short term solutions to stabilize data review by use Alteryx, power BI etc.  to facilitate reporting needs
  • Utilize knowledge of financial products (derivatives, equity and fixed income securities, currencies, structured products, commodities)

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Accounting 
  • A previous experience in Finance/Accounting would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office/Alteryx


The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Montreal is to begin on 01/09/2025, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

In case a Visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
