V.I.E. Loan Sales Assistant

Global Loan Sales is situated within the Global Banking division of SG Corporate and Investment Bank.  There are dedicated loan sales teams in London/Paris, Hong Kong/Tokyo, and New York.   It has primary responsibility for placement of syndicated loans in primary and secondary markets, working closely with Origination/Syndicate colleagues, and Loan Traders.  It is the main point of contact for coverage of investors who are active in the syndicated loan markets, both from buy and sell side.

Responsible for the direct support of the Loan Sales desk, and indirectly of the Loan Trading Desk, with which Loan Sales is in constant interaction. This is a front office support role and enables the sales team to focus on marketing to clients and getting trades done on behalf of the traders and the business lines while remaining compliant with SG's internal policies, procedures and regulations.

Direct responsibilities include the following:

• Assist in onboarding clients of Loan Sales and Trading by assisting in the "KYC" (Know Your Customer) process for new onboardings and periodic customer reviews

• Data integrity, including tracking of monthly sales credits

• Work closely with Loan Closers as needed as an integral part of the trade settlement process

• Create and maintain deal sites on the Debt Domain data base system for marketing secondary loans to investors

• Assist in the preparation of NDAs with investors requesting access to confidential information 6) Ad hoc assistance of salespersons and traders

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance
• Previous experience in finance and banking; specific knowledge of debt capital markets and leveraged finance is a plus

Language skills:

• Fluent in English

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Good command of MS Office and Excel
• Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, deadline-focused environment
• Self-motivated and proactive; willingness and a strong desire to learn

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in New York is to begin July 1st, 2026, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
