Responsibilities

The DFMIN MAR ACC team has several tasks within the Finance Directorate:
- Reconciliation of economic outturn to month-end accounting outturn: OTC scope, structured
- Monitoring of the coverage relationships established and their effectiveness
- Monitoring of the bank's foreign exchange positionProcessing and coordination of closing points and production incidents that may significantly affect accounting quality
- Check the consistency of the accounts with the treatment of products (Swap, OTC, LD, FX)
- Supervise and support the offshore team in the realization of accounting reconciliations management on the perimeter of market financial products
- Accounting for certain events on complex financing deals for own account or client account
- Contribute to various business and cross-functional projects and propose process improvements
- Contribute to the various RCG committees and committees with external auditors
- Contribute to the various committees of implementation of new products and complex deals

The VIE position will have the following tasks:
·    Monitoring of the foreign exchange position of the bank
·    Treatment and coordination of closing points and production incidents that may significantly affect accounting quality
·    Passage of accounting or inventory adjustments as part of the Management Ledger Reconciliation processes
·    Accounting for certain events on complex financing deals for own account or client account
·    Contribution to various business and cross-functional projects and propose process improvements

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master’s degree from a Business/Engineering School or University

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English and French

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Knowledge of financial market products: options, rate swaps, FOREX, loans/loans, repos
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and accounting for financial products
  • Advanced Excel (VBA) skills
  • Knowledge of front office, back office, accounting, summary tools

 

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Luxemburg is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
