V.I.E. META Corporate Finance Officer

IBD, the Investment Banking Division of SG CIB, offers a global advisory approach focused on strategic dialogue with clients. Building on long-term relationships based on trust, IBD offers clients the whole range of services offered by SG CIB and the Société Générale Group, with a particular focus on investment banking activities. SG CIB client reach is worldwide with solid local expertise thanks to our platforms in EMEA (France, the UK, Germany, Italy, Iberia, CEE, Nordics and META region), the Americas and Asia.
Corporate Finance has an integrated worldwide set-up offering a comprehensive range of advisory and capital raising services to accompany its clients thanks to strong sector and product knowledge, and proven capabilities in both local and cross-border executions. The corporate finance activity is about accompanying clients on their strategic investment banking needs from mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets transactions (such as IPO, ABBs or capital increases) and structured equity solutions (such as equity-linked products).
META Corporate Finance team covers a wide territory across Middle East, Turkey, CIS and Africa in close coordination with SG country, product and sector teams. 

Tasks:

• Participation in all stages of the execution of Corporate Finance transactions (M&A and ECM mandates) across the META ( Middle East, Turkey, CIS and Africa) geographies
• Preparation of presentations for clients, investors and the broader investment community
• Performing financial modeling including valuation analyses, convertible bond impact, EPS Accretion/Dilution in M&A or ECM transactions, right issues modeling
• Working in close coordination with other country and products teams in an international deal-making environment
• Has strong communication skills; is able to articulate complex issues in written and oral communication

• Keeps up to date about M&A and equity related topics and activity across the META geographies

Studies & experience:

• Graduate with a Master degree from  from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance

• Has a solid knowledge of Corporate Finance concepts and Corporate Finance related products (in particular M&A and Equity Capital Markets)

Language skills:

• Strong command of English. Additional language(s) across Middle East, Turkey, CIS or Africa geographies is a plus

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

• Has the necessary solid accounting knowledge
• Has solid valuation knowledge using various methodologies including discounted cash flows, leveraged buyout, trading comparables and transaction comparables

• High degree of numeracy and well-developed analytical skills

• Exceptional attention to detail and good time management skills

  
  
• Is insightful, reasoned, curious and ambitious to become a top quality investment banker
•  Result driven and able to perform well under pressure and against tight deadlines
• Is a good team player able to interact across a variety of cultures
• Excellent communication skills and positive mood is a must
   

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Dubai is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
