V.I.E. Operational Accounting Controls Analyst

Responsibilities

The team Transverse Finance and Accounting is under the supervision of the Accounting Direction which reports directly to Luxembourg CFO.

Our team is in charge of various responsibilities, from coordination of accounting 1st level controls to ensuring the quality of accounting principles and quality of production of half-year and yearly financial reports.

We perform controls, analysis of controls realized by Finance teams and accounting certification controls and follow-up on the realization of controls plan.

·         Maintain accounting processes cartography, analyze accounting controls, KRI and KPI in the scope and review the appropriate coverage of controls set-up in relation with the current projects

·         Maintain and assess the process of accounting certification, the processes related to manual booking entries (ODIN) and provide assistance to operational services to improve their supervision and certification quality of the accounts in their scope

·         Follow-up and ensure the appropriate realization of Permanent Supervision on accounting controls

·         Provide support to Transverse team in general through

- Participation to accounting closing procedures and reporting on accounting quality and financial impacts

- Ensure optimal quality of certification and report to the local CFO and central Finance Direction

- Propose improvement action plans for accounting quality

- Provide support to accounting team ad-hoc

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

·         Graduate with a Master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance and Accounting

·         A previous experience in Accounting (analysis, reporting or production) would be appreciated

Language skills:

·         Fluent in English (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

·         Proficient/Good command of MS Office

·         Good communication and presentation skills

·         Strong listening and analytical skills

·         Proactivity, spearheading of proposals

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Luxembourg is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact there that your VIE mission could potentially get postponed, depending on the evolution of the health crisis and subjects to the decision made by the Crisis and Support Centre of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE). In addition, the selected candidate will only be paid upon confirmation from Business France and arrival in the country of assignment.
