Responsibilities

The GTPS (Global Transaction & Payment Services) division in the Americas offers a comprehensive suite of transaction banking products and services, including cash clearing, cash management, trade finance, and working capital services. These services cater to corporate clients such as US multinational corporations and Société Générale affiliates. The division is managed by the Head of GTPS Americas and comprises four Business Line front offices, a Front Office Product Manager for Payments and Cash Management, Sales Support, Implementation, Onboarding, Client Services Teams, and COO & Project Teams. GTPS Americas supports a complex and regulated client environment, requiring close coordination across business, operations, IT, risk, and compliance functions.

This role is within the Project Team which itself is within the COO team. The Project Team is responsible for managing the portfolio of medium and long term "change the bank" initiatives that result in enhanced product offerings to GTPS Americas clients.

The role offers exposure to:
• End‑to‑end governance of large‑scale banking transformation programs, from demand intake through prioritization and execution tracking
• Regular interaction with senior GTPS stakeholders in the US and Paris through governance forums and project reviews
• Budgeting, prioritization, and arbitration processes in a global bank.

Support the Project Portfolio Manager in the day‑to‑day governance of GTPS Americas’ change portfolio, with progressively increasing autonomy on defined workstreams. The role requires strong structuring, analytical rigor, and the ability to synthesize information across multiple initiatives. Depending on priorities, the VIE will contribute to initiatives such as payments modernization, instant payments (FedNow / RTP) readiness, platform enhancements, or regulatory‑driven change impacting transaction banking services.

  • Collect, structure, and consolidate project demand across GTPS Americas business lines
  • Develop and maintain the GTPS Americas project roadmap, including materials supporting prioritization and arbitration discussions
  • Contribute to project cost assessments
  • Track and analyze project budget consumption, highlighting variances and risks
  • Liaise and coordinate with Paris-based project teams
  • Maintain project documentation
  • Prepare inputs and materials for Steering Committees and operational governance forums (SteerCo / OpCo)
  • Participate and contribute in various project status and update meetings
  • Contribute to annual budget preparation exercises
  • Monitor project progress including expected deliverables from other teams
  • Produce concise and accurate project status reporting for senior management
