V.I.E. Quant Dev Analyst
Responsibilities
Within Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, you will join the team responsible for FX Electronic Market Making. The team is responsible for pricing, hedging, designing and implementing quantitative methodologies and solutions for SG on this activity.
The candidate will work within the trading team. He or she will be based in New York to assist the Foreign Exchange flow department and algorithmic trading in providing them with quantitative tools and implementing quantitative methodologies. He/She will:
- Formalize the quantitative needs of traders and brainstorm with them to design quantitative methodologies suitable for their activity
- Use statistical methodologies and machine learning algorithms for this purpose
- Participate on the online A/B testing framework which aims to optimize market making parameters
- Participate on the development and key metrics definition in our post trade analysis tool
A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance, mathematics, statistics and common machine learning algorithms
- Has experience using programming language (e.g. python, C#) and collaborative tools (git, CI/CD)
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of quantitative analysis, statistics, and common machine learning algorithms
Knowledge of FX finanacial products and interest rates (FX Spot, NDF, Forward, Swaps)
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York is to begin January 1st, 2026, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
