Responsibilities

MARK/BMO teams aim at helping MARK's development and at the same time preventing operational risks.

Combining process and business expertise, quality of execution, technology advisory, innovative solutions and operational risk prevention, MARK/BMO is a trusted advisor helping to ensure the highest service levels to clients.
MARK/BMO plays a pivotal role in coordinating with Support and Control functions in Finance, IT, Operations, Risks, Compliance and Legal.

Run day-to-day operations while also delivering on business-critical key projects, such as new business, regulations or transformation.

The Sales Business Management Office focuses on building, managing & optimizing all sales processes from pre-trade and post-trade. It ensures the best service is offered to MARK clients by monitoring, reviewing and transforming existing processes. It also provides the Sales management with relevant tools and indicators to ensure the efficiency of the commercial set-up.

Particularly, this VIE role will mainly support XAS (cross asset solution) Sales force who are focused on non-frequent users and on the distribution business and addresses clients’ needs through a comprehensive Client Driven Advisory approach using whole range of products and asset classes.

The VIE Sales Business Analyst role will be focused on contributing to the below themes alongside the Sales BMO:

  • Junior Trader
  • Support trading team on day-to-day operations
  • Maintain and improve existing spreadsheets and tools used by the desk
  • Develop on specific products a deep understanding and knowledge of parameters impact on pricing
  • Develop new products and strategies under the lead of a senior trader
  • Look at the risk systems and tools, and understand book deformations
  • Establish good relationships with sales and structuring departments

Main responsibilities:

  • Support Sales production tasks focused on XAS Sales business line
  • Sales Efficiency | Development and diffusion of Sales digital tools
  • Client Strategy | Support Sales and Sales managers in the implementation of client programs
  • Provide assistance on local and regional governance supervision matters for MARK APAC and Japan
  • Preparing and updating presentations and reports for Sales management and governance forums
  • Provide support to Sales teams in their day-to-day activities
  • Run Sales production tasks (some are on daily, weekly, monthly basis)
  • Interact closely with various Support and Control functions 
  • Support Sales and Sales Managers in the implementation of Client Program initiatives, X-selling.
  • Conduct ad-hoc projects, analysis, and studies to help support the business. Topics can be (not exhaustive): detection of client opportunities, competitive intelligence, data extraction, performance of sales teams/clients, structured products production supervision.
  • Promote the use of our in-house CRM (IC) and SG Dashboard platform. 
  • Review of Internal Procedure & perform controls on the activity
  • Perform administrative tasks (maintain various mappings, referential, org charts, seating plan, mailing list etc.)

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Business/Finance
  • A previous experience in the banking industry is a plus

     

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Interest in financial markets and derivative products 
  • Rigorous, meticulous and reliable
  • Flexibility, pro-activity, curiosity and capable to multi-task
  • Result and solution orientated
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Team spirit, collective mindset
  • Capable to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • Technology savvy
  • Advanced level in Excel | Power Point and good command in VBA
  • Familiar with Digital visualisation tool (Power BI)
  • Other programming languages would be a plus
     

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Tokyo is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
