V.I.E. Securities Services Coverage
Responsibilities
Société Générale Securities Services (SGSS) is represented at 20 locations worldwide and has around 4,000 employees, offering a wide range of securities services that are adapted to the latest financial market and regulatory developments. The strategic orientation provides for a concentration on core business areas. To this end, the Custody & Trustee business of the depositary in Frankfurt as well as the insourcing business and accompanying asset services in Luxembourg will be further strengthened and expanded.
The Coverage, Marketing and Solutions Team (CMS) is responsible for client acquisition. It is also responsible for the development and implementation of business development strategies.
During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:
- You will support the sales of all SGSS products to German and Austrian market participants, in particular insourcing and depositary services, global custody, collateral management, agency securities lending, etc.
- You will support the main contact person for SGSS key accounts in Germany in managing the profitability of the assigned client relationship and building strong client loyalty
- You support the documentation of all sales activities in the group-wide CRM tool
- You will support the tendering process and process corresponding tender documents (RfPs)
- You identify growth potential in the team (strategic business development) and work on strategic projects
- You will carry out cross-selling and budget planning activities as part of the team and create customised cross-selling concepts
- You will support the conception and realisation of sales and customer events

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply for a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Master's degree in Economics or a similar field
Language skills:
- Fluency in German
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential
- Good knowledge of French is an advantage
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Interest in working in a matrix organisation
- Interest in products in the securities services sector
- Proficient with MS Office applications
- High sense of quality and responsibility
- High degree of flexibility
- Team player, but also a high degree of independence
- Ability to work under time and deadline pressure
- Confident and competent appearance, very good communication skills
- Positive charisma and high social competence
- Entrepreneurial, customer-orientated mindset
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Germany is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
