Responsibilities

The candidate will join the Italian Support Front Officer (SFO) Team in charge of Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence regarding onboardings of new Clients and follow up of historical clients within the Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA) perimeter of Société Générale in Milan.
The VIE Analyst will work strictly with SFO ITALY and with all SFO within SG World.
The VIE will assist Front Officers of GLBA Milan on all KYC Topics and will follow new clients all through the onboarding process to comply with Italian Regulation.
Then, (s)he will take in charge the review/update of KYC Documentation regarding historical clients.
The VIE is going to be exposed to a wide variety of financing projects in Natural Resources, Infrastructures, Aircraft Shipping, Real Estate, among others), and will grow in a highly dynamic environment, with close contact with both clients and several internal and external teams (KYC, Compliance, Tax, etc.

The Analyst will be involved in every step of KYC topic tied with transactions, therefore the candidate must have good notions of banking financing scheme (LBO, Facility Agreement, Term loan, revolving facilities, etc) and a good background regarding corporate legal structure (Corporate, Trust, Fund, Asset Manager, Limited Liability Company, etc).

Specific KYC tasks:
•    Analysis of the Credit Application/Deals Presentation for each new deal
•    Investigation on Public Sources to check clients info
•    KYC pre-screening  and reviews of legal documentation 
•    Analysis of the Due Diligence package 
•    Fulfilment of the KYC internal follow up tools
•    Analysis of client’s ownership structures double checking with Public sources

The candidate will be responsible, with the supervision of different KYC teams, of the accuracy and quality of the material produced by clients and their electronic archives as well.

Due to the VIE eligibility criteria, a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application.

Please note that it is mandatory to provide us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master’s degree from a Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Banking
  • A previous experience in Finance would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English
  • Italian would be a plus

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Milan is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
