V.I.E. Support Trade Finance Origination
Responsibilities
Trade Finance is part of Global Transaction & Payment Services (GTPS) Business Unit. Leveraging from a large Trade Finance network, Societe Generale accompanies exporters and importers by securing and financing their international trade transactions by offering a full range of products and services such as international guarantees, standby letters of credit, letters of credit, supply chain finance and receivables financing.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing strategic and business development initiatives for trade finance activities
- Support in preparing documents such as commercial dashboards, KPIs, diverse presentations, pitches and reporting
- Support to desks in structuring tailor made trade finance solutions for corporate & investment banking clients
- Assist in new products implementation and new projects if any
- Contact with clients when necessary
- Work closely with various departments within the bank and across different geographies for all trade finance-related topics

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in finance/banking/international trade
- A previous experience in a commercial support role would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Fluent in English
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Client centric mindset and behaviour
- Proactive and team player
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin September 1st 2025 but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
