Responsibilities

Global Transaction & Payment Services (GTPS) is the Business Unit designed for domestic and international companies and institutions seeking support with commercial transactions (bank, commercial and corporate transactions) and payments.

GTPS includes Payments & Cash Management (PCM), Cash Clearing services (BAN), Trade Finance services (TRA), Factoring (SGF) and Foreign Exchange services (FX) associated to these activities.

GTPS/TRA develops, promotes and processes international Trade products and transactions. The offer concerns the securing and financing of international flows such as payment secured internationally, international guarantees, management and financing of export receivables). GTPS/TRA serves BDDF and IRBA networks and acts as the business line for international Trade products for GLBA clients.

Within GLBA’s network, GTPS/TRA is present in 16 locations through dedicated desks.

Responsibilities:

  • Products and services to be marketed will include, amongst others:

    • International trade related guarantees
    • Import Letters of Credit
    • Export Letters of Credit
    • Structured trade finance
    • Active cross-selling with the different Business Lines of the Bank, such as but not limited to SG Factoring
       
  • Help the RM in the commercial activities by preparing specific activity reports, relationship reviews, launching KYC review and customer on-boarding process, prepare credit requests, drafting commercial presentations

  • Coordination between clients and the back offices in Paris, in a precise and reactive manner, with a positive attitude and team spirit 

  • Being considerate of client’s needs and able to think out of the box, to help the team to optimise deal origination and closing process

  • Liaising with the structured trade finance team in Paris in the realisation of structured deals

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance
  • A previous experience in Trade Finance would be appreciated

  • The candidate needs to have basic knowledge in international trade finance products

Language skills:

  • Above average written and verbal communication skills (English, French (preferable))

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Ability to spot, understand and solve issues, develop and recommend alternatives or solutions
  • Good interpersonal skills including ability to establish and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally
  •  Administrative, organizational and time management skills
  • The candidate needs to show flexibility and capacity to understand quickly. He/she needs to be autonomous and to take responsibility of his/her job. He/she needs to have initiative, propose solutions and ideas, considering client needs
  •  Good MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) knowledge
  • Team player

     

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in London is to begin asap, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
