Responsibilities

The Trading Team is in charge of executing equity hybrid derivatives trades on behalf of clients, and risk managing the resulting exposure on the banks’ trading books. The Trainee will cover all equity hybrid derivatives products, with a specific focus on exotic and hybrid options. By nature of the trades, the trainee will also have to familiarize himself with secondary position risks on the following asset classes (Rates, Credit, Foreign exchange).

Responsibilities:

  • Support trading team on day-to-day operations
  • Maintain and improve existing spreadsheets and tools used by the desk
  • Develop on specific products a deep understanding and knowledge of parameters impact on pricing
  • Develop new products and strategies under the lead of a senior trader
  • Look at the risk systems and tools, and understand book deformations
  • Establish good relationships with sales and structuring departments

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Machine Learning or similar
  • A previous experience in a trading floor environment would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Microsoft Office, in particular Excel; good coding skills in VBA and/or Python
  • Strong interest in financial markets and understanding of complex products
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proven analytical, computer and interpersonal skills as well as writing, communication and presentations skills
  • Strong team player who can demonstrate creativity and initiative

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Japan is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
