Responsibilities

Global Transaction Banking and Payment Services (GTPS) Americas is organized into four key business lines: USD Cash Clearing Services, Payment and Cash Management Services, Trade Finance Services, and Working Capital Solutions. GTPS delivers a comprehensive suite of payment products and services to corporate clients, financial institutions, Societe Generale entities, and various business lines. These offerings include USD payments, corporate cash management, check services, foreign exchange conversions, standby letters of guarantee, receivable discounting, and supply chain financing solutions.

The four business lines are supported by specialized teams, including Front Office Sales Support and Client Services, as well as COO, Risk, and Project Teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • As part of the Global Transaction Banking division and the Working Capital Solutions and Trade Finance business line, the primary objective is to collaborate with Global Banking (GLBA) Coverage to identify opportunities related to the working capital needs of the bank’s strategic and target client groups.
  • Coordinate closely with the SG F team in Paris to structure solutions for clients, acting as the main point of contact and serving as the interface between clients and the SGF team.
  • By identifying new opportunities, the Vice President contributes to organic portfolio growth and increased NBI (revenue) across the entity’s target client portfolio, which includes both headquarters and multinational companies operating within the SG branch, under the leadership of Working Capital Solution Management.
  • Collaborate with the SGF team, securitization team, TRA team, and PCM team to prepare client pitch books, respond to RFIs and RFPs, and produce other marketing and sales materials.
  • Provide feedback from clients and prospects to the SGF team to ensure GTPS is informed about Societe Generale’s competitive position and that of other banks in the U.S. working capital market.
  • Work closely with the SGF team to deliver working capital financing solutions, ensuring client requests are addressed and executed promptly.
  • Ensure that client calls and visits are documented and communicated to relevant parties in a timely manner.
  • Take ownership of support requests from clients and coordinate with the SGF team to manage and resolve client queries.
  • Work with the SGF team to keep the CRM/pipeline tool up to date and accurate, recording all identified sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other GTPS partners to provide comprehensive support for clients across their global business operations.
  • Support GTPS AMER Management to conduct the NPC for local booking of RF and SCF offer with self-funding sourced from GTPS USD Deposits.

Profile required

Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of prior sales, client relationship management, or client-facing experience with large European companies is essential.
  • Candidates must possess prior expertise in structuring and marketing working capital finance solutions, including receivables finance, to major corporate clients.

  • GTB solutions experience or knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to think innovatively are highly desirable.

COMPENSATION:
Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, medical/dental/vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
