Responsibilities

·        Working independently and responsibly on assigned tasks

·        Actively participating in all stages of the audit process: planning, testing, report drafting, and recommendation follow-up

·        Participating or leading periodic continuous monitoring meetings and annual risk assessments

·        Effectively communicating with auditees, developing a good relationship, anticipating and understanding any potential issues, and timely escalating when there is an issue

·        Preparing high quality workpapers that support any findings and conclusions

Profile required

This is a six month program with the potential to be hired full time.

Societe Generale’s Career Arc Returnship program is designed to give professionals like you a chance to re-enter the workforce and refresh and sharpen skills through a 6-month paid internship.  During the internship you will be given the opportunity to perform meaningful work in a supportive environment while reacclimating to the financial industry.  We value a variety of backgrounds and levels of talent and are looking for individuals with skill sets aligned to the business units mission found here: The Audit Division (IGAD) represents Societe Generale's independent internal audit function, comprised of over 1,200 professionals covering Societe Generale's global business and services in over 150 countries. The SGUS Audit Department (SGIAA) within IGAD is a group of about 70 professionals with diverse backgrounds and subject matter expertise based in the US, Bangalore, and Brazil, responsible for Societe Generale's businesses in the Americas region. Constituting the third line of defense, IGAD conducts independent audits of operational entities in an objective, thorough and impartial manner in line with professional standards. IGAD assesses the compliance of the Group's operations, the effective level of risk exposure and management, the adequate enforcement of procedures and the effectiveness and relevance of the permanent control set-up.

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • A minimum of a 2-year career gap
  • Knowledge in finance, accounting and internal audit functions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong background in internal audit
  • Good discipline
  • Minimum years of industry experience: 4 years
  • Years of Experience (number only) (maximum): 10 years
  • Language(s) English

Nice to Have:

  • Last Corporate Title of Vice President, Executive Director, Director, or Managing Director
  • Preferred Education Background: Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Math
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT:

COMPENSATION & SALARY RANGE:

Base salary range does not include overtime pay, bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience. The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, Medical/Dental/Vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters.
