Manager-Accounting
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and management account ownership and assign owners of dedicated GL & Sub-GL account for daily/monthly controls and substantiations
- Implementation of permanent supervision model refer to regional standards
- Update and validation of account substantiation methodology for the bank
- Ensure accounting quality in IAS and local GAAP for all divisions at bank level
- Supervise account closing process and ensure high quality accounting data to downstream user.
- Perform 2nd level control for all SG China accounting balances
- Perform 2nd level control on FO/BO (Economic and Accounting) “passerelle” reconciliation at bank level
- Provide support for any enquiry of accounting related questions
- Validation of new products accounting schema according to local and group norms
- Provide necessary assistant and response to internal and external auditors
- Provide necessary support on the annual financial statement preparation
- Provide a regular update of accounting norms to the team, ensure accounting policies and operational procedures are up to date
- Monitor the operational risk declaration. Take responsibility to report any incidents and suspicious cases.
- Contribute to New Product Committee and transformation projects, perform accounting analysis and define functional requirements in collaboration with production teams, participate and coordinate in the integration tests and UAT
- Supervise service provider’s delivery quality and follow up if any anomaly
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required
Profile required
- Bachelor’s degree or above, in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years or above relevant experience in accounting/finance function in international company, or big-4 firms, with experience in banking industry as a plus.
- Skill & Competencies:
o Solid knowledge of banking products.
o Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
o Independent with strong analytical mindset.
o Be able to work under pressure.
- Language Skills: Good command of English in both writing and speaking
- Computer Skills: Strong skills in MS Office, light coding or data processing knowledge and experience (e.g., Python, Power BI, Power Query) is a plus.
- Professional Qualification: Accounting qualification (e.g., CAP, ACCA), CFA/FRM as a plus.

Responsible for accounting, preparing various statements and reports, including regulatory reports, in accordance with the local laws, regulations and the requirements of the Group, elaborating financial budgets and tracking their completion, carrying out various financial control including expenses, and completing the calculation and payment of various taxes and fees.
