Software Engineer
Responsibilities
Join our innovative Technology Department as a Software Engineer! We are seeking a passionate individual with a keen interest in exploring the latest technologies to enhance product development. You'll play a vital role in boosting operational efficiency and quality while inspiring a culture of automation among IT engineers. Effective communication with both the team and our users is essential, as is a curiosity for learning and understanding what other teams are doing. This will enable us to proactively suggest creative solutions.
- Craft and maintain impactful software solutions for IT infrastructure, networking, IT security, and digital workplace enhancements.
- Participate in Agile initiatives to elevate product development quality and address deficiencies, with the ability to develop high-quality web applications.
- Contribute to modernizing IT practices with advanced automation software.
- Empower IT engineers by assisting in the creation of simple automation tools and hosting dynamic automation workshops.
- Collaborate on transitioning our tech stack from private to public cloud environments.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to revolutionize procurement, HR/IT processes, user support, data quality, and IT production management.
Profile required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in software development, particularly in Python and React JS.
- Strong grasp of Kubernetes, Docker, and microservice architecture design.
- Expertise in CI/CD practices, GIT, API development, test-driven development, and domain-driven design.
- Solid understanding of database design and complexity analysis.
- Ability to develop high-quality front-end applications with a strong sense of UX/UI design.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in cloud environments and cloud architecture design.
- Familiarity with using Linux environments.

IT infrastructure is one of the major stakes for the bank and is at the heart of Société Générale group's strategy.
Today, the Digital Transformation raises important challenges around IT Architecture, Infrastructure and Security. Many of these challenges are opportunities to imagine new experiences for our clients and new way to deliver IT services.
Within the Resources and Innovation division, GTS department plays a key role in the Digital Transformation. With more than 3500 GTS staff located across the world, GTS develops innovative projects while delivering operational excellence for infrastructure services to 148,000 employees and 32 million external clients.
