The General Inspection and Internal Audit Division (IGAD) is the third line of defence, which conduct independent audits of operational entities in an objective, thorough and impartial approach. Our division oversees the audit of GBIS activities through teams based in France and in four regional hubs which are London, Luxembourg, New York and Hong Kong. The division head is the contact person for the audit of the GBIS core business management.
The V.I.E. Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for strategic and operational controls as well as transversal support for the team. Therefore, this position will involve strong communication with other team members and frequent contacts with staff, senior managers across Asia and in Paris. This position will be reported to the Chief of Staff of IGAD Asia in Hong Kong
• Monitor Audit Activities (Risk Assessment, Audit Plan Execution, Follow-up of Recommendation implementation), with the production of automated reporting and statistics to the regional management team and Head Office
• Steer Internal Audit’s own operational risk: Permanent Controls, Data Quality controls, etc
• Assist in Regional Communication and Event Management (i.e. Regional Newsletter, Appointment Announcement, Internal Audit Asia Executive Committee meetings, All Staff Meetings, Seminars, coordination of Trainings and Visits from Regulators or senior management, etc)
• Assist in the management and monitoring of Budget and Expenses (including travels)
• Support the Chief of Staff in the preparation of internal and external presentations and memos such as management committees and meetings with regulators
• Assist with operational and administrative tasks for a smooth running of the Internal Audit department (e.g. access card, business cards, Societe Generale directory, office supplies, moving and construction work, temporary desks and meeting rooms management)
The candidate could also be involved on Internal Audit transformation projects or on audit missions involving data analytics skills.

Please note that for the missions outside the European countries, a VISA is necessary. Please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure. Otherwise, we strongly advise you to launch asap the renewal of your passport.

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance, Business, Engineering or similar
• A previous experience in financial/ banking industry or project management would be appreciated
Language skills:
• Fluent in English (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
• Proficient/Good command of MS Office, especially PowerPoint
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Attention to details and quality oriented
• Take accountability for his/her actions with good organization and time management
• Generate innovative but practical ideas at work to improve the robustness and efficiency of our operational processes
• Positive attitude and able to work with all level of staff seniority
• Display of innovation, team spirit and time management
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
